About Remington College’s Personal Fitness Trainer Program in Tampa, Florida

The Personal Fitness Trainer diploma program was launched exclusively at our Tampa college campus in August 2008. Since its inception, the goal of the program has been to ensure personal training graduates in Tampa are prepared to enter the workforce as qualified fitness professionals.⁽¹⁾

The sunny gulf coast beaches provide plenty of opportunities to show-off your Personal Fitness Training in Tampa. Plus, you may run into a professional athlete around town. Tampa is home to the professional football team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the professional baseball team the Tampa Bay Rays, as well as the professional hockey team the Tampa Bay Lightening.

About Remington College – Tampa Campus
Remington College - Tampa Campus began operations in 1948 as Tampa Technical Institute. In October 1981, National Education Centers, Inc., acquired the campus and in 1983, the name of the Institution was changed from Tampa Technical Institute to National Education Center - Tampa Technical Institute Campus. The campus moved to 2410 East Busch Boulevard, Tampa, FL in February 1992.

Remington College - Tampa Campus, Inc., purchased the campus and its branch campus in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1995. From 1995 to 2003 the campus was operated under the name Education America - Tampa Technical Institute. In May 2003 the company, Education America - Tampa Technical Institute, Inc. changed its name to Remington College - Tampa Campus, Inc. and the campus changed its name from Education America - Tampa Technical Institute to Remington College - Tampa Campus. The campus moved to its present location in August 2008. Remington Colleges, Inc. acquired the Tampa Campus in January of 2011.

Remington College’s Involvement in the Tampa Community
The campus actively sponsors events to help the local community, including:

Job Fairs – Remington College frequently invites local Tampa employers into the campus to participate in job fairs, interview graduates and see first-hand the quality of training available for Remington College students.
Adopt Our School – A program developed to assist Tampa public schools with a donation of school supplies valued at up to $2,000.00.
Cuts for Kids – This program provides complimentary back-to-school haircuts for children 17 and under during the month of August.
Prom Night Make-Over – In an effort to help local high school students and their parents afford the cost of prom, the Tampa Cosmetology program offers complimentary salon services during the month of May.
3 Lives Blood Drives – Our Tampa college campus routinely holds blood drive campaigns to help recruit minority blood donations and raise awareness for sickle cell anemia and other health issues that require blood transfusions.
